Examines the theoretical and practical challenges NGOs and other stakeholders encounter in an emerging global civil society. Language of instruction differs by year.

In this session, Jun Hoshikawa (Chairman Greenpeace Japan) gave a lecture where he talked about Greenpeace as a global civil society actor, their organizations structure, membership structure, some specific campaigns, and the many problems international NGOs face.
